This film takes us on a unique journey from South India to Sri Lanka, following the coral landmass known as Rama's Bridge. It is called Rama's Bridge, because Hindu devotees believe this landmass to be the holy bridge that Lord Rama built in the ancient epic poem, The Ramayana. The landmass is important to other communities aswell, from local residents and fisheries, to tourists, businesses and scientists.
Travelling by land, sea and sky, we will soon uncover the many controversies surrounding India's decision to destroy the sacred bridge, in order to create a lucrative shipping canal through it. In the end, our film determines whether there are any alternatives to destroying Rama's Bridge.
